I thought the movie was very inspirational and taught me that no matter what obstacles are placed in the way of me and my goals I can overcome them and be successful. My favorite part of the film was when Liz was at the acceptance ceremony after being granted the scholarship and she said she would give it all up if she could have her family back. This was my favorite part because it shows how no matter what family is sacred and irreplaceable. Everyone loves their family in different ways and no matter what they put each other through they have an everlasting bond. I think that if I was put in the same situation I would be as resilient as she was. I am very self sufficient and motivated therefore, I think it would be hard to be on my own, but I could do it.

  1. This is great! She really puts family and education in a whole different perspective. We take this as a common thing or a 'struggle' for everyday things. However, Liz Murray shows in the video her everyday literal struggle to eat, sleep, find a home, maintain a job, and keep up a education to graduate. Great post:)

  2. Your right I forgot about this part but now that I am thinking about it this part is very realistic and touching. It shows that n mater what your parents have done it it up to you make a difference and nobody can replace family.
